Heron Partners with Qisda Group to Establish BNCT Center and Expand Overseas

Heron Neutron Medical Corp. (Heron) announced on August 26, 2025 that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Qisda Group’s BenQ Hospital to jointly establish a Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) center overseas. This marks the first time Heron has extended its Accelerator-Based BNCT (AB-BNCT) center deployment beyond Taiwan.

 

Under the cooperation plan, BenQ Hospital will provide a suitable site and related infrastructure investment for the center, while Heron will design the AB-BNCT center based on site conditions. This includes deployment of core equipment, radiation shielding design, and full construction of the AB-BNCT system to meet clinical medical needs.

 

The scope of cooperation covers not only BNCT equipment construction but also clinical application, drug collaboration, and talent development, with the goal of forming a deeper regional medical cooperation network.

 

Heron stated that the partnership with Qisda Group builds on the company’s existing experience in BNCT deployment and complements its collaborations with institutions such as Taipei Veterans General Hospital and China Medical University Hospital. The combined efforts are intended to establish a multi-point, resource-sharing platform for BNCT industry-academia cooperation.

 

BenQ Group emphasized that BNCT represents a new generation of oncology treatment, and this collaboration will help advance clinical research and applications in the BNCT field, providing patients with more treatment options and hope.
