Building a Core Hub for AB-BNCT R&D and Manufacturing 

Heron Neutron Medical Corp. (Stock Code: 7799), a leading medical technology company providing integrated Accelerator-Based Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (AB-BNCT) solutions in Taiwan, held a grand groundbreaking ceremony today (the 1st) for its new corporate headquarters at the Hsinchu Biomedical Science Park. 

The event was attended by distinguished guests including Hsinchu County Magistrate Yang Wen-ke, Hsinchu Mayor Ann Kao, as well as senior officials from central and local governments and prominent representatives from industry, academia, and research sectors. Together, they witnessed this important milestone in Heron Neutron Medical's development journey. The new building is scheduled for completion in 2028 and will serve as the company's global operational headquarters, advanced R&D innovation center, and high-end pharmaceutical manufacturing base. 

According to the company, the project site was officially leased from the Hsinchu Science Park Bureau in 2026. Due to rapid breakthroughs in AB-BNCT technology and the accelerated expansion of international professional talent, the company’s existing office and laboratory space has become insufficient. Despite multiple requests for additional leased space, capacity remains highly constrained. As a result, the new headquarters carries strong expectations from both employees and investors. 

The planned headquarters will be a modern smart biomedical building consisting of 10 above-ground floors and 3 basement levels. In addition to administrative and operational centers, the facility will include state-of-the-art research laboratories and internationally compliant production facilities dedicated to neutron capture therapy pharmaceuticals. This infrastructure will fully support future global demand for system installations and drug development capacity. 

Chairman C.Y. Shu stated that since Heron Neutron Medical established its presence in the Hsinchu Zhubei Biomedical Park in 2020, the company has remained focused on cutting-edge oncology technologies. Over the years, it has successfully advanced clinical applications and gradually built a Taiwan-based precision medicine ecosystem.  He emphasized that today's groundbreaking ceremony represents not only the foundation of a physical building, but also a critical transition—from a technology development stage to large-scale commercialization and global market expansion. Moving forward, the new base will serve as the core engine for improving AB-BNCT treatment quality, accelerating clinical translation, and delivering more precise and effective cancer treatment solutions worldwide. 

Upon completion in 2028, the headquarters will further strengthen strategic collaborations with leading medical institutions worldwide, leverage the advantages of the Hsinchu Biomedical cluster, and reinforce its leadership in the targeted radiotherapy market, driving strong momentum for the biotechnology industry.
